Artist Statement: Marlene Haber lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. Her work currently explores materials and experimentation. Working primarily in resin, she creates images that bring together Judaical symbolism and abstraction. The textures, weights, and colors of the stones and paint she uses makes each work unique and hand-crafted.
Biography: Marlene Haber is a self-taught artist working in oils and mixed media resin. Marlene taught nursery class for eight years, where she exposed her students to art and creativity to encourage out-of-the-box thinking from an early age. While her art has been thus far enjoyed by her family and community, the goal is to share her work with the world. Marlene is now taking commissions upon request.
